I have just recently found the greatest blog (other than JAC of course), and I can’t believe I didn’t find it sooner. Eddie Ross is nothing short of fabulous. His blog is full of decorating and entertaining ideas. I have spent the last week going back and reading everything I missed up until now. I will be trying this crudite made with a head of cabbage very soon. Check out Eddie… you will love him!

First of all, we want to wish Dave, our Co-Owner a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Here is a fun New Year’s Eve craft to make with your kids!! These rainmakers will be perfect to have at midnight!
You will need:
A snack tube (Pringle’s can) or a long cardboard tube (such as used for kitchen foil)
Paint (gold or silver)
Glitter and sequins
Glue
Lentils or rice
To make:
Paint your tube and leave to dry. Decorate the tube with sequins and glitter.
Fill the tube about 1/5 full of rice or lentils and glue the lid on securely. If you are using a kitchen foil tube, you will need to cut circles of card or paper and fix them very securely over each end.
Tip the tube from side to side to hear the rice fall.

I ran across this great list of 50 Things Everyone Should Know How To Do. It got me thinking that this year I need to make resolutions that I will actually follow through on. Instead of focusing on all the things I am not going to do (drink nothing but Coke all day long), I am going to focus on things I want to learn to do. I am just beginning my list. Let me know if you have resolutions for 2009.

Did you see Books to Bed on The View? I had never heard of this great shop and it is a brilliant idea. They sell books and matching PJs. I don’t mean that the PJs are just reminiscent of the book…I mean THEY MATCH! Here is an example… the classic kid’s book: Guess How Much I Love You.
You can get the PJs only or a gift set with the book too! They offer infant sizes through kid’s 14. Love these!

I love it when I find something new and cute and I can’t wait to blog about it and share! This is definitely one of those things. Check out these idbids! These “iddy biddy” characters will help your little one learn about keeping the earth healthy! How cool is that? They have three different characters, Lola, Scout and Waverly. You really have to see these for yourself!!-Betsy
Oh my! Don’t panic! Check out this article for the most quiet places to shop today… and breathe!!!
